You should NOT attend this or any orienteering event:
This event is pre-entry only. It is open to both members and non-members of British Orienteering. Please enter online via the Fabian4 website.
Please chose a start block (10-10.30am, 10.30-11am, 11am-11.30am or 11.30-12pm). Numbers are limited to 30 competitors per start block.
Closing date for entries is Thursday 10th June.
If you plan to run as a small group (no large groups please) then please just enter as one adult.
Parking will be at the Milton Keynes Discovery Centre accessed and signed from H3 Monks Way via Alston Drive. Postcode: MK13 9AP. What3Words: scrubbing.lads.stick
There is car parking in the Discovery Centre but once full please park responsibly on Alston Drive.
Start times will be between 10am and 12pm. Courses close at 1.30pm. Please consider this when choosing a start slot.
As always, don't forget to download, even if you retire.
Short 2.7 km. Not very difficult. No road crossings, suitable for orienteers of all ages.
Medium 4.3 km. Moderately difficult. No road crossings, suitable for orienteers of all ages.
Long 6.4 km. Moderately difficult navigation with minor road crossings. Double sided map. Not suitable for unaccompanied under 16s.
Electronic (SI) controls will be used, with mini kites. Contactless punching enabled. Punching start. pCards (the flat, credit-card size SI cards) will be available to hire for those who don't have their own dibbers.
Maps: A4 maps at 1:7500 scale. Second part of Long course at 1:4000.
Control descriptions will be printed on the map. Loose control descriptions will not be provided, but can be downloaded and printed here.
There are no toilets at this event.
Dog rules: well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep them on leads at all times.
Please ensure you maintain social distancing from other orienteers and the general public, both during your run and around the start and finish area. Please take extra care to be courteous to members of the public at all times.
To minimise infection risk, we won't be providing print-outs with your split times at the event. We will, however, aim to get everyone's splits up online as fast as possible after the event.
